Before submitting your video use this information to make sure you have followed all the rules and guidelines of the Waves AV Promo Challange contest
Requirements & Eligibility
- Target Participants : The competition is open to creative professionals from broadcasters.
- Age: Participants must be at least 18 years old.
- Geographical Scope: The competition is open to participants in India.
- Originality: Submissions must be original works created specifically for this competition. Plagiarism or the use of copyrighted materials without permission will result in disqualification.
Submission Guidelines
- Theme: Submissions must align with the overall objectives of WAVES event: "Come, Sail With Us" World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025, India. For more information, click here
- Format/Duration*: Participants should create broadcast-quality/high-resolution AVs in three versions: 1 minute, 30 seconds, and 15 seconds. All three versions should be uploaded as internet-friendly versions of the broadcast-quality AVs in MP4, MOV, WMV, or AVI formats. The file size for each should not exceed 50 MB.
- Language: All submissions must be in English.
- Technical Requirements: Ensure high-definition/broadcast quality audio and visual components. Poor-quality submissions will be disqualified.
- Branding Elements: Participants must include WAVES event branding material in their AV promo. Such materials is available on the competition website. Click here to download the Branding materials.

Timelines:
- Opening of entries: 20th September 2024
- Closing of entries: 30th November 2024
- Declaration of results: 20th December 2024
- Attempts: Participants can make multiple entries.
* NOTE: High Resolution Broadcast Quality should not be uploaded on the competition portal owing to issues with high file size. However, Participants must ensure that they retain the High Resolution Broadcast Quality AVs until the WINNERS are declared. Top Five Entries shall be called upon to submit the Broadcast Quality AVs.
Terms & Conditions
- Ownership and Intellectual Property Rights: All rights to the submissions will be retained by IBDF and MIB.
- Use of Submissions: The Host Association and MIB reserve the right to use, reproduce, distribute, and display the submitted audiovisual promos in any media, without further compensation or notification to the participants. This includes, but is not limited to, use in promotional materials, social media, websites, and event publications.
- Liability: The Host Association, MIB, and any associated partners or sponsors shall not be held responsible for any legal claims, damages, or losses that may arise from participation in this competition, including but not limited to claims related to copyright infringement, defamation, or violation of privacy rights. Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Host Association and MIB from any such claims.
- Modification or Cancellation: The Host Association reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition at any time, without prior notice. In such cases, the Host Association shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by the participants as a result of the modification or cancellation.
- Governing Law: This competition and any disputes arising from it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal proceedings arising from this competition shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delhi, India.
Evaluation Criteria
The Videos will be judged in terms of creativity, originality, message content and technical organization
Originality of the concept, innovative approach, and creative execution.
How well the AV presentation reflects the theme of celebrating innovation and progress in broadcasting and advertising.
Effectiveness of the narrative, clarity of message, and engagement level.
Quality of audio, visual elements, and overall production value.
Appropriate and effective use of WAVES event branding materials.
